The author Grady W. Troute was an elder with the Centerville Church of Christ in Centerville, Ohio, for about three decades. He now attends a sister congregation, the Logan Avenue Church of Christ in Middletown, Ohio. He and his wife Sharon live in Franklin, Ohio. Grady was privileged, by way of career related moves in earlier life, to attend a number of congregations with various demographics. The three books displayed below reflect feelings and philosophies acquired from the various church settings and a sincere belief in the absolute authority of the Holy Bible.

Grady's latest book, Heavenward Glimpses is a collection of bulletin articles. Since becoming a member of a smaller sister congregation in Middletown, Ohio, Grady has written a bulletin article each week for over a year. This book has been a work of love. "It is good to be in a situation where Bible research is a continuing, regular requirement."

The two sister books, Glimpses of Communion and More Glimpses of Communion, provide together 104 communion themes to assist those who preside over communion for the Lord's church. The brief communion messages can be easily modified into inspirational devotional addresses if that is the need.

The content of the book, Return to Sender, is better indicated by its subtitle, Shepherds, Sheep, Service, and Stress. Every congregation is an outpost in a war zone. Stress has been an unwanted guest over the centuries. God designed the church so that we can wage our war with sin and resolve stress in beautiful effective ways.
